Release status, sources and scope

Sources for the official Kyalulu docs and the public alpha scope, distinguishing implemented features, validation limits and remaining release requirements.

At a glance

  • These docs are based on a public GitHub commit reviewed on October 5, 2026.
  • Implementation, checks in particular environments and release acceptance are documented separately.
  • Article sources are commit-pinned. A source review date does not assert fresh device testing of every feature.

Documentation based on public GitHub materials#

These docs organize public ELRdn/Kyalulu materials by task, reviewed on October 5, 2026. Each article ends with commit-pinned links to its sources. A review date does not mean every feature was tested on physical devices that day.

Primary sources include the README, compatibility matrix, PWA and Remote guides, roadmap and CharacterBench documents. Design intentions are kept separate from accepted results. Unpublished local changes are not presented as released features.

Implementation and release acceptance are separate#

AreaPublicly documented scope
Local chat and LEImplemented and checked in specific setups; not a guarantee for every model and device.
Imports and compatibilityFormat-specific support; full round-trip acceptance with external applications remains open.
Memory LabStorage, corrections and retrieval are implemented. Short tests also record missed memories and false recall.
DesktopAPI supervision and restoration checked in development; packaged dependencies and OS restart checks remain.
PWA / RemoteImplementation and browser checks are recorded. Physical Android, endurance and release approval are separate requirements.
CharacterBenchA runnable evaluation pilot, not a scientifically validated overall model leaderboard.

Plans do not establish availability#

Commercial terms, cloud availability, installers and npm distribution require checking both published materials and actual delivery status. A proposal on a website should not be interpreted as an approved release.

These docs provide installation from published source. Consult the GitHub README, releases and roadmap for newer changes. The local quickstart brings the required steps together.

Rights for code, evaluation materials and characters#

Kyalulu is AGPL-3.0-only. The independent CharacterBench code and newly authored corpus are MIT licensed. The name, mascot and icons are excluded from the code license.

Characters from external Hubs retain their authors’ individual terms. A repository or website license is not automatically applied to every work. Check source, author and license text during import, and leave unknown terms marked as unknown.

Report corrections and keep sources current#

If labels or actions differ in your version, compare its commit with the source commit shown below the article. Report corrections or missing information using the GitHub link at the end. Documentation improvements and physical-device or real-model acceptance remain separate work.
